"I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread" - Psalm 37:25

Hello loves, I pray we're each abiding in the endless grace and peace of Our Lord Jesus Christ. No matter where you stand today, firmly believe that God reigns perfectly over every affair of your life. In your current perspective, is it your health, wealth, marriage, education or children that seem helpless? Freely cast over every care unto His Holy Name, as He cares for us like no other.

In this blog post, I will be speaking on the title, "Never A Forgotten Sheep". At times, though persistently pursing Christ, we are struck with feelings and thoughts of being forgotten by God. Never fully abandoned, but forgotten. It may be in your race towards medical school or attaining that Master's degree, in your upcoming engagement or marriage, or just maybe in the delay of the fulfillment of your destiny. These feelings and thoughts can never completely be expressed through words, yet still, they persist.

Through the Word of God and the gift of word of knowledge, God has given us access to His plans for mankind. If you're also like myself, you delight in the prophetic and receiving divine revelation from God. Although these are meant to give us hope for the future, when a word is received carnally or prematurely, we may begin to place an expectation on the timing of the move of God. We can become impatient and sometimes even loose faith while waiting on God's perfect release. How many of us have consciously or unconsciously given God a deadline and when He "missed it", we feel forgotten? Isaiah 55 verse 9 says, "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." There's a unique dependence and trust God desires that His children have for Him alone. The minute we attach our human understanding to a divine word from God, we open up ourselves to the deceitful tongue of the enemy. I may not know the exact words that have been spoken over your life these years you've walked the earth, but I do know that Our God is faithful. Any time the enemy speaks against the promises of God concerning you, I charge you to speak back to him a word from Number 23 verse 19 which says, "God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?". My dear, The Lord is more committed to YOU than you're being led to think.

I never thought I would be the one to question my destiny or compare myself to others, but unfortunately, I found myself in that place just a few weeks ago. Social media is one of the many reasons we fall astray, doubt God and even fall apart emotionally. However, we must keep in mind that social media only reveals a snippet of what we individually choose to display. The bible encourages us in Romans 12 verse 15 to rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn, yet, we choose to play the comparison game instead. We have carelessly allowed the seed of discontentment to be planted into our hearts. Social media in itself is not bad, but it can easily be transformed into something evil when our hearts go unprotected. I have dealt with personal feelings of being behind in life, lost and forgotten because I chose to listen to the voice of the enemy. Everyone else seems to be graduating, getting married, having children, preaching the Word of God, growing spiritually except you. However, who's timeline is your life under? The Word of God boldly declares in Psalm 37 verse 25, "I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread". Bread was essential for the people of this day (and still is), and we're being told through scripture that neither they or their children (you and I) will ever have a need for that which is essential because provision has already been made. Can you imagine? Christ has already provided our essentials, so how dare we feel forgotten? The God we serve provides even before we recognize there ever was a need. Allow this word to translate into your health, marriage, education and every other thing and patiently wait to see the glory of the Lord in your life.

Lastly, I beseech ye to mediate also on Isaiah 62 verse 6 and 7 which says, "I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth." In order to see the promises of God made manifested in our lives, we simply need to ASK. When we flourish in this life, we bring glory to Christ; meaning it is God's deepest desire to see His children flourish both physically and spiritually. Therefore, give God no rest (humbly) through prayer and supplication until He honors His every word to you. Even in your asking, apply faith; meaning we can only ask if we wholeheartedly believe in the ability of the Giver. The Lord, who is Shepherd over you will never ever forsake you my dear. You are never a forgotten sheep!
